Bus Power and the USB Interface
- USB does not supply enough power to reliably operate the new, larger drive capacities over 120GB. Some systems may work with the 120GB models, for others an optional power supply is available. FireWire 800/400 has no such deficiency.
- The advertised memory capacity of this device represents unformatted capacity. Please note that once formatted and due to variations in sector block limitations, the functional storage space will be lower than the advertised capacity.
