Quatech Serial I/O PCMCIA PC Cards (RS-232) (COM)

Serial I/O PCMCIA PC Cards More Like This Quatech's RS-232 asynchronous serial PCMCIA PC Cards are an ideal solution for adding additional ports to a wide variety of portable systems. Since they share the electronic fundamentals of native bus architectures such as PCI and ISA, they function exactly like standard COM ports and can be addressed as such by most application software. The Serial I/O cards provide convenient attachment to fax/modems, bar code scanners, court reporters, data acquisition equipment, mag stripe readers, GPS receivers, MIDI or other RS-232 serial devices. Quatech RS-232 serial PC Cards provide industry leading speeds of up to 921.6 kbps by employing a clock multiplying feature in conjunction with 16750 UARTs.

The "ruggedized" attached cable version is designed to handle industrial and field applications. Featuring an integrated fixed cable maintaining solid contact in high vibration environments such as moving vehicles, a molded strain relief protects against lateral stress and seals out dust and moisture.
