P424 PCI Bus to PC Card Read-Writers 2 Slot External

PCM-CR-PC2EF More Like This Synchrotech's Elan PCI to PC Card adapter supports two independent card sockets compliant with the 16 bit PC Card standard. The reader provides a rich feature set, making it ideal for bridging between PCI and PC Card in desktop computers. Units comply with the 16 bit PC Card specifications and supports any combination of 8 bit or 16 bit PC Cards in the two sockets, powered at 5.0V or 3.3V as required. The two slot design accommodate combinations of up to two Type I or two Type II cards simultaneously, or one Type III card. This reader does not support 32 bit CardBus Cards.

This external unit's case is connected to the PCI board via a 0.75m ribbon cable passed through the rear expansion slot. The host system interface for the reader is compliant with the PCI Local Bus Specification 2.1 or greater. Unique software configured interrupt routing circuits, and necessary drive software is provided together for the reader to service IO cards requiring IRQ functionality from the socket. This enables the reader to support most 16 bit PC Card applications including: Wireless LAN Card (802.11b, Bluetooth, etc.), SRAM cards, Linear Flash cards, ATA cards, Modem cards and LAN cards as long as they are supported by the host operating system. This device is listed as P424 on the DEXIS System Requirements documentation.
