Ratoc USB 2.0 to Ultra Wide SCSI Converter U2SCX-LVD
Ratoc's U2SCX-LVD USB 2.0 to Ultra Wide SCSI Converter preserves investments in expensive SCSI devices. This high speed USB adapter allows use of Ultra Wide SCSI devices on systems equipped with USB 2.0 ports. Under Windows, the auto-switching U2SCX-LVD can utilize Windows built in SCSI support to access a wide range of HDD, MO, and other devices under Mass Storage class mode, or use Ratoc's drivers for SCSI emulation mode to enable daisy chaining and use of image scanners, film scanners, printers, and other specialized SCSI devices. For Mac OS X only Mass Storage class mode is available. Use the U2SCX-LVD with older SCSI flavors by obtaining 'gender changers' from reputable SCSI cable suppliers. The USB 2.0 to Ultra Wide SCSI Converter's ability to support Ultra Wide SCSI's throughput of 40MB/s is limited only by the real world speeds of USB 2.0. Use on an unshared USB port directly off the host computer for maximum throughput. The U2SCX-LVD comes with its own power supply and a USB 2.0 cable, and is ready to connect to any standard 68-pin Ultra Wide SCSI device. For external SCSI devices only.
