Lexar High Speed and Professional CompactFlash Memory Cards
Lexar Media's High Speed and Professional ATA Memory Cards are high speed (40X and 80X) cards for the most demanding applications. Their high sustained write and read speeds of are ideal for high resolution digital photography and other performance dependant uses. They feature Lexar's Write Acceleration Technology for even higher throughput on digital cameras and devices that support it. The 80X series, capable of 12MB/s writes, is currently the fastest CompactFlash on the market. Lexar's Professional series cards come with Image Rescue 2.0 utility software for recovery of images and repair of cards with damaged file systems. Current Lexar cards with capacities greater than 2GB are Type II form factor CompactFlash (5mm) and all CompactFlash cards with capacities greater than 2GB require FAT32 file system support. Insure your camera or device supports both before purchasing those capacities.
CompactFlash Cards are designed specifically for mass storage. They include an intelligent controller providing these key features: flash media control, a PC Card ATA (IDE) interface, and a sophisticated defect and error management system. This system is analogous to those in magnetic disk drives, completely transparent to host devices, and consumes no user data space. CompactFlash Cards are 100% compatible with consumer electronics, operating systems, utilities, and application programs supporting IDE disk drives.
