PCI Bus to PC Card and CardBus Read-Writer Internal Rear R5C486
Synchrotech carries Ratoc's PCI Bus to PC Card and CardBus Read-Writer Internal for end users requiring the Ricoh chipset. These PCI cards provide desktop computers with all the functionality of laptop based PC Card slots. When used with operating systems providing support for full Card and Socket Services, the read-writers interface with both 32 bit CardBus and 16 bit legacy PC Cards in either 3.3V or 5V modes. The two slot design accommodates up to two Type I or two Type II cards simultaneously, or one Type III card.
Suitable for wireless LAN cards including 802.11b and Bluetooth, high performance CardBus cards including IEEE 1394 and USB 2.0, the read-writers also handle memory cards including ATA Flash, CompactFlash and Microdrives (with PC Card adapters), SRAM Cards, and much more. In fact, the reader supports nearly any 16 or 32 bit PC Card application as long as they are supported by the host operating system. The drivers for the read-writers work with nearly every Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems running on the 586 or later platform. Backed by Synchrotech's one year limited warranty and highly trained technical support, the only thing you will have to worry about is finding new uses for the card!
